Seeing a service due soon a message on your dashboard is one of those little irritations that usually occurs right when you're too busy to deal with this. You're driving to operate, or maybe selecting the kids up through practice, and all of a sudden that little ruby light or text prompt pops up. It's not a "pull over correct now" type of crisis, but it's certainly a "hey, don't forget about me" nudge from your own car.
